Polish Matura Oral Exam Practice
Practise the compulsory oral exam in English or German with a voice examiner that follows the CKE format, task by task.
The exam format (CKE)
The oral exam in a modern foreign language is compulsory for every matura candidate and is sat without a level.
It lasts about 15 minutes: a short warm-up conversation, then three tasks.
It is scored out of 30: communication 18, range of language 4, accuracy 4, pronunciation 2 and fluency 2.
In 2027 the foreign-language orals run from 6 to 31 May, except 9, 16, 23, 27 and 30 May, on dates set by each school (CKE timetable).
How a practice exam works
- Warm-up: two or three short questions on one everyday theme. In the real exam this part is not scored.
- Role play: you hear the situation and its four points, then you start the conversation. The examiner may ask for clarification, disagree or offer help.
- Scene: the examiner describes a scene in words (the real exam uses a picture). You say what is happening, then answer three questions.
- Choice: you hear two or three options, choose one, say why, and explain why you rejected the others. Then two more questions.
- Afterwards you get practice feedback on your answers. It is not a CKE score.
