Practice follows the Kommunikationsprüfung used in the gymnasiale Oberstufe: a monologue after preparation, then a dialogue.
Formats vary by Land. In Baden-Württemberg, for example, 15 minutes of preparation are followed by about 5 minutes of monologue and 10 minutes of dialogue; NRW and Hessen run it in place of a Klausur, usually in pairs.
Tracks cover English, French and Spanish at Grundkurs and Leistungskurs level.
Practice topics are independently authored; your school and Land set the real topics and timings.
